The Evils of Reblogging

This is the story of a guy and the concept. Said concept is the act of taking a blog entry and a dead horse and beating the dead horse until it’s beyond dead. The guy tries to tie this practice to the word “evil,” and strongly advises against it constantly.

So Bryan goes on his merry way. With everything going on in the blogosphere as of late (Derek and his footer fetish (which for some reason is a “new” thing), Blog networks up the ass (or “we make money off your brain schemes”), etc.) I choose to defer my thoughts to others. Reminiscing

This is the story of two guys who had an IM conversation one day that connected their past a little more than they would have thought. They reminisce about the last era of this website and the friends it had—comparing it to the present.

I don’t know what it is about me and Benzinger but it seems like we get into the weirdest conversations about the “good ‘ol days.” Then again, I like to reminisce about those days and see how far I’ve come. That whole “knowing your past before creating your future,” kind of thing. So this was the first time this happened:

Monster is Dead

This is the story of a guy and a few websites. Said websites were created to help people find jobs. However, said sites are so full of spam listings that it’s close to impossible to find a reliable job in the industry with them. So the guy offers some advice on other ways to find that elusive job.

Face it people, don’t waste your time on Monster or any of its clones anymore (it’s full of spam anyway).

I think back to my days in one of the most boring classes ever, career planning. Not only was it a dread to go to, what could you learn there that you didn’t already know? In Johnson & Wales at least, there were three of these classes, all requiring the same assignments to be turned in: a resume, a cover letter, and job search results.
